Cybersecurity: Awareness and Action
As cyberattacks continue to increase year after year, 2025 is shaping up to be another critical year for cybersecurity. Despite growing investments in IT security, organizations must confront a key reality: awareness and employee training remain essential pillars of any effective strategy.
In Belgium, the scale of the issue is well documented: in 2021, over 37,000 cybercrime incidents were reported — more than 100 per day, with numbers steadily rising. Recent data confirm that this trend shows no signs of slowing down. Today, 6 out of 10 top priorities for Belgian IT leaders are directly related to cybersecurity (source: Beltug). Industry federation Agoria also highlights that nearly half of all SMEs have experienced at least one cyber incident in recent years.
The rise of remote work, accelerated digitalization, and widespread cloud adoption have reshaped the IT landscape. In a world where customers, employees, and partners expect systems to be available 24/7/365, cybersecurity must become global, continuous, and future-ready.
It is in this context that Mark-Com Event, is organizing the 6th edition of the Security Forum Belgium on October 16, 2025, in Brussels.
Held in parallel with Digital First, this half-day strategic conference will take place in the heart of the Tour & Taxis district and aims to bring together experts, decision-makers, and cybersecurity professionals.
Inspired by previous editions held in Belgium since 2018 and the launch of the Security Forum France in 2022, this event offers a practical and hands-on approach to today’s cyber challenges. It is designed for IT leaders, business executives, and security professionals, offering both a strategic outlook and direct access to the latest technological innovations and field experts.
