In 2023, Luxembourg faced an alarming increase in cyberattacks, with an average of 1,200 attacks per week, up 38 % on the previous year. Nearly 40 % of Luxembourg companies were affected, some repeatedly, exposing critical sectors such as healthcare, which saw a 74 % rise in incidents due to accelerating digital transformation. Ransomware, particularly that operated by groups such as LockBit3, Clop and AlphV, continues to feature among the main threats. Despite the scale of the risk, cybersecurity investments by Luxembourg companies remain modest.
It is against this worrying backdrop that the Security Forum will take place on February 13 in Luxembourg. The event will bring together experts, decision-makers and cybersecurity professionals to discuss major trends, share best practices and identify concrete solutions to counter the cyber threats facing businesses and institutions.
The Security Forum will be a unique platform for exchanging views on the specific challenges facing Luxembourg, and for building resilience in the face of growing threats. Together, we can better anticipate, protect and secure the digital future.
