Cybersecurity: Raising Awareness and Taking Action

As cyberattacks continue to rise year after year, 2025 is shaping up to be another critical year for cybersecurity. While companies are investing heavily in IT security, they must also face a key reality: raising awareness and training employees remain essential pillars of any effective cybersecurity strategy.

In Belgium, the extent of the problem is well documented. In 2021 alone, over 37,000 cybercrime incidents were recorded—more than 100 per day—and this number keeps growing. The latest figures confirm this trend. According to Beltug, 6 of the top 10 priorities for Belgian IT decision-makers in 2025 are directly related to cybersecurity. The federation Agoria also highlights that nearly half of Belgian SMEs have experienced at least one cyber incident in recent years.

Remote work, accelerated digital transformation, and widespread adoption of cloud services have reshaped the IT landscape. Today, employees, clients, and partners expect constant access to systems and data—24/7/365. In this context, cybersecurity must become global, ever-present, and forward-looking.

It is in this environment that Mark-Com Event, in collaboration with the Cyber Security Coalition, is organizing the 6th edition of the Security Forum Belgium, taking place on October 2nd, 2025.

Following the success of previous editions in Belgium since 2018 and the first Security Forum France in 2022, this event aims to deliver a practical, hands-on approach to today’s cybersecurity challenges. It is designed for IT leaders, company executives, and security professionals, offering both strategic insights and direct access to cutting-edge innovations and field experts.
